When our customers delve deeper into the NEMATEC corporate interface, which we of course welcome, we are often asked how it comes about that you now work in the field of FFP2 and FFP3 respirators or buy FFP2 and FFP3 respiratory masks to offer?
We would like to present this here on our website in a more transparent way for you as our potential customer, because we as Nematec are transparent and we have no secrets. We differ somewhat from many of the recently established sales portals in the area of PPE and respiratory masks.
Our department for respirators was created at the beginning of 2020, before the great COVID-19 pandemic and the first lockdown in Germany. During this time, i.e. at the beginning, we were initially only available as a contact for the import area of respiratory masks in China! Our 25 years of business and import experience and the network of reliable partner companies on the Chinese market built up over many years in China greatly simplified our task of being able to locate reliable suppliers in the field of respiratory masks in China for our customers.
Another major advantage is our personal contact with buyers and sellers in Asia and China, which we have built up over the years. This combines excellently with two very good product scouts who have been organizing our business there for NEMATEC in China for years and implementing them for us and with us. Thanks to such a structure, we are far ahead of and also superior to many of the recently established trading companies, regardless of their legal form.
On the other hand, our trading partners from Shenzhen and Shanghai in China offered and also sent respiratory masks for the self-protection of our Nematec employees even before the Chinese New Year celebrations. Should we wonder about that? & # 34; No & # 34; But that made us very sensitive and we were also very well informed about what was in store for us!
But since in the course of the Corona measures necessary in Germany and the meanwhile very dramatic Corona situation and the lock-down, especially in our supplier country China, we as NEMATEC had to react urgently and rethink quickly. From an initial consultation, a new department for protective equipment was established. Because due to the entire corona situation and the quasi-global networking, our LED and advertising technology company has unfortunately also got into problems or even in an imbalance!
Customers could suddenly no longer pay us or they canceled our orders. At this point, we as NEMATEC decided to import FFP2 and FFP3 respirators and other protective equipment independently. In the initial delivery situation, we supplied long-standing customers and contractual partners of NEMATEC with FFP2 and FFP3 respirators, as well as TYPE 1 respirators.
At the same time, we set up our internet presentation. Since then we have dealt very intensively with the PPE regulation and the requirements in the field of FFP & # 34; and FFP3 particle-filtering half-respirators set apart.
In mid-March 2020 our first FFP2 respirators arrived in Germany by plane. At that time, the FFP2 respiratory protection masks were only offered to medical staff or made available only to these medical specialists.
We then stabilized the supply and, in addition to the FFP2 and FFP3 respirators, have now also added the medical masks of type II and type IIR as well as protective suits and medical protective gloves to the NEMATEC delivery portfolio. The further planning is now such that we want to continue to serve a certain market and corresponding customers in the PSA area in the future.
